Brent

Brent grew up in South Georgia as the son of a county extension agent and a teacher. He spent much of his youth helping his father care for their 100-acre pecan grove, as well as hunting, fishing, and spending time with his younger brother and sister.

After graduating from Georgia Southwestern College with a degree in Chemistry, Brent was accepted into the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1998. His career has included both practice ownership and emergency medicine, experiences that shaped his compassionate and steady approach to patient care.

Today, Brent is fully dedicated to Upstate Pet Euthanasia. He is deeply committed to supporting families through one of the most difficult decisions a pet owner can face, offering guidance, empathy, and calm during emotionally challenging moments.

Outside of work, Brent enjoys shooting sports, fishing, horticulture, and spending time with his dogs. Above all, his greatest joy is his children. Whether camping, backpacking, or riding bikes together, he treasures the adventures they share.

Emily

Emily was born and raised in Travelers Rest, South Carolina, where her love for animals began at an early age. Growing up, her family regularly took in stray cats and dogs, fostering a lifelong passion for animal care and compassion.

Emily began her career as a veterinary technician while she was a freshman in college. She later graduated from LSU with a degree in Animal Science. After completing her studies, she and her husband, Allman, returned to the Upstate, where Emily spent 16 years working in a variety of veterinary settings, including daytime practice, emergency medicine, and shelter medicine.

After the birth of her children, Emily chose to step away from clinical work to raise her family on their farm. Today, she is an integral part of Upstate Pet Euthanasia, where she provides compassionate support by answering phones and assisting families during difficult moments.

When she’s not working, Emily can usually be found chasing her children across their farm, which is home to four cats, two dogs, and two horses. She enjoys horseback riding—especially teaching her son to ride—along with hiking and DIY crafting.
